Privacy.
Grand Theft Grandma is a fictional game by Stack Dating Inc. Do not enter real card details, passwords, recovery phrases, or anyone’s personal information.
During a call
When you enable the mic, your browser transcribes your speech and may use its own online speech service. The game sends your conversation text, recent replies, and fictional case state through its server to Groq or Google Gemini to generate each reply and assess the turn. It does not send microphone audio to these AI providers or ElevenLabs. Type instead avoids microphone access, but typed conversation text is also sent to the selected AI provider.
Groq may temporarily cache repeated prompt content to speed up replies. It generally does not retain inference content otherwise, but may retain reliability or abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, or longer where legally required. See Groq’s data controls. Google’s free Gemini service may use inputs and outputs to improve its products and models, and human reviewers may process them. Do not submit sensitive or personal information. See Gemini’s terms and data use. The game operator does not use conversations to train a model and does not save audio or transcripts in its own database. No new ElevenLabs speech is generated during play.
On your device
Settings and verified wins are stored in this browser. Conversation text stays in the open page until you change cases or reload. Settings → Reset saved progress clears the current win records; clearing site data removes all local game data. Progress does not sync between devices.
Generated voice
The visible case brief prepares the voice automatically, downloading about 50 MB of Pocket TTS and runtime files the first time. They are cached in this browser for later visits; clearing storage or browser eviction may require another download. Speech files are served by this site’s hosting; the voice encoder is not downloaded or run on your device. Speech is generated on your device and uses its memory and processor. There is no speech API fee. You can remove the cached voice files by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings; this also removes saved progress and browser purchase access. Voice quality and speed vary by device. Speech software and model credits.
Microphone controls
Picking up requests microphone access. If you decline, you can retry the microphone or open the in-call chat box. Your timer waits during connection setup. Mic off, pause, hang-up, and leaving the page stop recognition. While listening, a local audio-level analyser detects pauses so your words send automatically; its microphone stream is stopped with recognition and is not recorded or uploaded. Brief recognition failures retry automatically up to twice with your clock held; captured words stay in the same spoken turn. Permission blocks, unavailable hardware, or a persistent speech-service outage may require retrying the mic or using the chat box. Spoken interruptions also listen during Grandma’s replies when enabled. Headphones reduce playback echo.
Hosting
Hosting and service providers may keep ordinary technical and access logs. The game uses a shared capacity ledger containing random call tickets, request totals and expiry times, without conversations or personal identifiers. Expired call tickets and request counters older than 24 hours are pruned as the ledger is used. Technical logs include token counts and cache totals, without conversation text. For the friends trial, we also keep seven days of daily aggregate call outcomes, response-time ranges, and microphone/playback failure counts by case, model and mobile/desktop layout. These counters contain no conversation text, recordings, IP addresses, names or persistent visitor identifiers. They are pruned as the game is used. The game’s fonts are served by this site, with their open-source license notices included. No advertising or third-party analytics scripts are currently installed. The site also keeps cookieless daily totals for page views, fixed button actions, broad screen-layout categories, and 25/50/75/100% page-scroll milestones for up to 90 days. These are page-load counts, not unique people. No input contents, conversations, full URLs, IP addresses, names, or persistent visitor IDs are stored in these counters. Do Not Track requests suppress this optional site measurement. These figures may be reduced by privacy tools or blocked requests. Hosting and other services contacted directly by your browser receive normal request information, including your IP address. Conversation text is sent to the selected AI provider through the game’s server; this is not an anonymous service. Conversation text is processed by Groq or Google under their respective service terms. Google Gemini’s free service is not used for visitors in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK; routing also depends on supported regions.
Optional purchases
When checkout opens, Stripe handles payment and may process your contact and payment information under its own privacy notice. We keep a hashed access credential, Stripe transaction references, purchase status and purchase time to provide access and handle refunds. We do not save your payment card, billing address or email in the game database. An essential secure cookie remembers purchase access in this browser; it is not used for analytics and is created when you start checkout through the game or claim a verified purchase after returning from Stripe. Stripe may include a checkout reference in its confirmation URL; the game uses it to associate verified access, removes it from the visible URL and does not store it in persistent browser local storage. An essential tab-scoped session entry may keep a pending checkout reference for up to two hours so verification can resume after a reload; it is cleared after verified access or expiry. Closing the tab normally clears session storage. These purchase records are separate from seven-day operational counters and are retained while needed to provide access, handle refunds and satisfy applicable recordkeeping obligations. Stripe’s privacy notice explains its processing. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal data we hold, where applicable; deletion of an access record can remove the associated unlock, and legal retention duties may limit deletion. Clearing cookies or changing devices can remove automatic access. Use Restore purchase in Side Hustles with the receipt number and checkout email, or the full Stripe receipt link. These details are checked with Stripe. We retain keyed fingerprints of receipt identifiers and the receipt-number/email pair, not their plain text, to verify future restoration. A restored browser receives its own secure access cookie; a full refund revokes all browser grants. Receipt links act as private purchase proofs: do not share them.
Owner administration and gifts
The owner control room uses a password-derived verifier and essential secure HttpOnly session cookies. Remembered owner sessions last up to 30 days and can be revoked. Login attempts are limited; IP addresses are used transiently for in-memory abuse protection, not saved as visitor analytics. Owner changes are recorded by time and action type for up to 90 days. Gift links are stored as cryptographic hashes; a claimed gift binds to the recipient browser’s essential purchase cookie. The game does not save the recipient’s name or email. A copied claimed link cannot unlock another browser. Clearing cookies may require a replacement gift. No advertising network is currently measuring players through this site; if ads are added, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before serving them.
